Le SEPEN est un centre d’essai des petites éoliennes situé sur les hauteurs de Narbonne. Il est le fruit de la collaboration de l’Ademe et EDF. Situé dans une des régions les plus ventées de France il permet de tester dans des conditions extrêmes les performances des petits aérogénérateurs destinés à l’habitat individuel.
Les caves de Banyuls utilisent l’énergie du soleil pour assurer la climatisation de ses chais de vieillissement. Le système fonctionne sans faille depuis 1991….

We are contacting suppliers of solar products in the US and France with a view to acting as their trade agent in Senegal. We plan to set up a trade structure in order to represent and distribute solar products: PV panels, Grid-tied PV inverter, Water heater…
As you know in Senegal we have a great opportunity of sunshine and our country can be independent of fossil fuel if we had the right solar products. Moreover, from now and in a foreseeable future, Business around the world will be dominated by Solar Energy particularly in West Africa. The development of alternative energy means that numerous establishments (hotels, clinics, commercial and residential…) will invest in solar equipment.
A Humanitarian Project?
With these solar products, some villages far from Dakar and which do not have electricity can use the sunshine to supply Hospitals, Schools, Houses and Businesses. These villages really need solar products to lighten their life. In addition, this kind of project can create jobs for young skilled people and prevent them to risk their life by boat-crossing the Atlantic Ocean for Europe. It is among the ways to stop illegal immigration.
Why the US and France?
I come in the United States with the hope to find some solar manufacturers or companies that would be willing to expand their market Share through West Africa and help a country with a great potential of sunshine.
Our two nations have good relationship and I am do confident that
Solar manufacturers of this Great Nation can help us to be in the similar track like other developing countries.
Why in Senegal?
First of all, I am Senegalese and during my 6 years in France, I learned our Economic burden in that area. Senegal is among the developing countries which realized a real progress in Democracy, Free enterprise, Respect of Human rights, Education… and the program of NEPAD (the New Partnership for Africa’s Development) which is a VISION and STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK FOR Africa’s RENEWAL. It is under construction and we have a great opportunity of sunshine.
What kind of structure and what we are going to do for you?
I suggest to represent you company as a trade agent. I will prospect the market, develop it for your fine company, establish and follow the partnerships. I am also open for any other proposal because after all, the goal is to sell your products.
